The Route of Latvian Rivers

A new route that goes through the National Parks, Biosphere reserves and the most beautiful Latvian rivers. The national cycling route along the rivers of Latvia is more than 400 km long and it is recommended for 7 – 10 days. The route is marked all the way, and mainly consists of asphalted roads with low traffic intensity, and bike paths that are mostly available in the cities – Salacgrīva, Limbaži and Sigulda. Ikšķile and Ogre bike path passes along the dam of the right bank of the Daugava River. The route has no rapid ascents, as it passes along rivers and lakes, except from the Gauja Valley in Turaida and Sigulda, where you can enjoy many nature and cultural sights.
