The bicycle route combines three castles in the vicinity of Bauska and follows along the territory of the Bauska Nature Park, along the banks of the River Lielupe. It is recommended to undertake this route approximately from May to October, as during the winter season, the pontoon bridge across the Lielupe near Mežotne Castle is dismantled. Therefore, if you are cycling in early spring or late autumn, it is advisable to contact Mežotne Castle to inquire about the visibility of the bridge through the castle windows. The route is rich in points of interest, so it is recommended to plan it as a full-day excursion.
