The route follows both banks of the Venta River. On the right bank of the Venta, the route offers a leisurely ride, enjoying the peaceful and tranquil landscape of the river valley and visiting Tārgale, Piltene, and Zlēkas. The section of the road from Piltene to Zlēkas can be dusty and of lower quality during dry summers. On the left bank of the Venta, it is recommended to visit the villages that are situated along the river's edge, such as Ventava, Zūras, and Vārve.
