The route connects the ancient territories of three manor estates - Stāmeriena, Kalnamuiža, and Jaunkalnamuiža.
The route connects the Gulbene-Alūksne narrow-gauge railway line with the former Ieriķi-Pitalova broad-gauge railway line (now known as the Green Railway cycling route).
Just like the narrow-gauge railway Bānītis connects the cities of Gulbene and Alūksne, this 66 km long route meanders along small and slightly larger roads to explore the surroundings of Bānītis.
The route can also be done starting from one station and continuing with Bānītis (a small-gauge train) to the other station and beyond.
The route winds through three Annas - Annas, Jaunanna, and Vecanna villages, as well as passing by Ermaņi Manor.
The 34 km long route takes you through a hilly area, revealing the beautiful landscapes of the surroundings.
