555. Abavas senlejas velomaršruts

One of the most scenic cycling routes in Kurzeme connects two small towns in the Abava River Valley - Kandava and Sabile, allowing you to enjoy the beauty of the Abava River Valley, which is one of the most picturesque river valleys in Latvia. It is 2 km wide and 30 m deep. Here, a nature park called "Abavas Senleja" has been created with nature hiking trails, water tourism routes, and scenic viewpoints. It is recommended to combine the cycling route with one of the events in this area, such as the Sabile Wine Festival, art plein airs in Pedvāle, Kandava District Festival, or Coffee and Tea Festival in Kandava.
